Share on X Share on Facebook Share on LinkedIn Email this page Print this page June 30, 2023 Starting on July 1st, Sophie Meunier, Senior Research Scholar at the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs, Director of the Program in Contemporary European Politics and Society (EPS) and Co-Director of the European Union Program, will serve as LISD’s Acting Director during academic year 2023-2024 while Andrew Moravcsik is on sabbatical leave. Professor Moravcsik will be at the American Academy in Berlin, where he has been named a Berlin Prize Fellow for fall 2023, and at Columbia University in spring 2024. Sophie Meunier is the new president of the European Union Studies Association (EUSA), the world’s largest scholarly association of scholars working on the European Union. She has written and edited more than 10 books on French politics and the EU and comments frequently on French politics in the media. Her current research focuses on the EU’s recent geoeconomic turn and on the politics of investment screening.
