A new Working Paper from the Liechtenstein Institute on Self-Determination at Princeton University (LISD) titled, "Deep Unreconciliation" by James Gow and Rana Ibrahem frames the struggle over Confederate statues as part of an unreconciled US civil war and explores how the legacy of the unfinished business fortified a narrative of Southern redemption that persists today. Opinions expressed in this and all Working Papers are those of the authors.
