As a leading Polish thinker, Kuisz shared and explored his thoughts on the historical roots of Poland’s political dynamics in his two latest books: (1) “The new politics of Poland. A case of post-traumatic sovereignty” (Manchester University Press, 2023) was reviewed in the London Review of Books, the Times Literary Supplement, the Sunday Times. This book was ranked among the best books in the world for 2024, according to Foreign Affairs. (2) “Posttraumatic Sovereignty” (with Prof. Karolina Wigura, Suhrkamp, 2023) focuses on Poland’s transformation after 1989. Kuisz regularly contributes to the international press, including The New York Times, The Guardian, Foreign Affairs, Le Monde, Die Zeit.
