The seminar convened young experts on Afghanistan, both domestic and international, to discuss issues related to the future of Afghanistan and to generate recommendations for sustainable solutions to some of the country's most pressing problems.The seminar focused on several broad issues areas: the state, economy, self-determination and identity, education, and employment. The agenda of the workshop was developed in consultation with the young scholars, experts, and professionals who were invited to participate in LISD's new intergenerational, interdisciplinary, and multi-year project on Afghanistan and the region focusing on how a new generation of leaders can effectively address Afghanistan's new and long-standing challenges.The seminar was private, off-the-record, and by invitation only.
