LISD convened a meeting of the contributing authors to the forthcoming edited volume, Perspectives on State and Security in Afghanistan, in Vienna, Austria on December 9-12, 2004.  At the private meeting, authors discussed their planned contributions to the book and exchanged ideas about conceptual and practical dimensions of state and security building in Afghanistan.
