The Liechtenstein Institute on Self-Determination will hold a Crisis Diplomacy lunch seminar, "Contemporary European Security Challenges," on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. in 012 Bendheim Hall. Ambassador Christian Strohal, Permanent Representative of Austria to the Organization of Security and Cooperation in Europe (OCSE) and the OSCE incoming presidency, will be the featured speaker. The lunch is open to Princeton University faculty and students only. To attend, RSVP to Angella Matheney.
Ambassador Christian Strohal is currently Permanent Representative of Austria to the Organization of Security and Cooperation in Europe. An Austrian diplomat, Strohal has previously headed the Austrian Embassy in Luxembourg, worked as representative to the UN Commission on Human Rights, served as a delegate to the UN General Assembly, and as a representative to the EU Working Group on Human Rights. From 1994 to 2000, he was Director for Human Rights, International Humanitarian Law, and Minority and Gender Issues at the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
