LISD held a conference on October 3-5, 2003 at Princeton University focusing on the transatlantic relationship between the EU and the United States, the EU’s capabilities in international crisis management, and, as case studies, the War on Terrorism, and crises in Iraq and Afghanistan. The conference, “The European Union: Its Role and Power in the Emerging International System,” was sponsored in conjunction with the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies, the program on European Politics and Society, and the Woodrow Wilson School.
