The seminar focused on Durieux's analysis in "A French View of Counter-Insurgency in Afghanistan." A student at the Centre des Hautes Études Militaires (CHEM), the French National War College, Colonel Benoît Durieux, recently served as the commander of the 2nd Infantry Foreign Legion Regiment in Afghanistan where he applied counter-insurgency doctrine from a French perspective.
