Sam Gardiner, Visiting Professor at National Defense University, led a lunch seminar and simulation, "The Larger Games in the Middle East," at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26 in 012 Bendheim Hall. Gardiner offered an overview, evaluation, and possible projections of the revolutionary crises in the Middle East. The talk was off the record.Sam Gardiner is a retired US Air Force colonel, military strategist, and strategic games expert. In addition to his current post at National Defense University, he has taught strategy and military operations at the National War College, Air War College, and Naval War College, and has been a visiting scholar at the Swedish Defence College. He has been a regular commentator on CNN, the NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, BBC radio and television, and National Public Radio. He has conducted war games on Iran and on North Korea.
