Event Description

The Liechtenstein Institute on Self-Determination will hold a lunch seminar, "Lion Rampant? Iran in the aftermath of Vienna Nuclear Agreement," on Friday, December 11, 2015, at 12:00 p.m. in 012 Bendheim Hall. Professor Ali Ansari of the University of St. Andrews will be the featured speaker. Space is limited. To attend, RSVP Angella Matheney.

Ali Ansari is Professor in Modern History with reference to the Middle East at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, and the founding director of the Institute for Iranian Studies. He is the author of numerous books, including Confronting Iran: the Failure of American Foreign Policy and the Roots of Mistrust and The Politics of Nationalism in Modern Iran. Ansari is editor of the The Cambridge History of Iran Vol 8: The Islamic Republic, President of the British Institute for Persian Studies, and is a Non-Resident Fellow of LISD.
