Event Description

John Morijn is professor of law and politics in international relations at the University of Groningen (Netherlands) and the 2024-25 Henrik Enderlein Fellow at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin (Germany). He is also the lead rule of law expert for the German government funded multi-million euro programme to strengthen Ukraine's rule of law for EU accession . In this capacity he advises the Ukrainian government in its negotiations with the European Commission and trains Ukrainian judges, NGOs and Ombudsoffice staff. He was a 2023-24 Crane Fellow in Law and Public Policy at the School for Public and International Affairs.
