Bio/Description Abby Lu is a junior from Hong Kong majoring in the School of Public and International Affairs, with minors in History and European Studies. Abby’s academic interests lie in propaganda, namely the instrumentalization of culture and historical memory toward persuasion campaigns. She developed this interest through work with European think tanks and NGOs, including the Center for the Study of Democracy (Bulgaria), the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (Germany), and the International Press Institute (Austria). At Princeton, Abby was Chair of the Rockefeller College Council and is now Chair of the Undergraduate Student Government's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. She was recognized by the Hong Kong government’s Social Welfare Department for her work on cultural preservation in Northeastern China. Additionally, Abby was previously an undergraduate course assistant in Princeton's Mathematics Department and is a research assistant at LISD. Abby speaks Mandarin, Cantonese, French, and German.
