Bio/Description

Ferenc Nicolae Somogyi is a junior studying in the School of Public and International Affairs with a minor in History and certificates in Contemporary European Politics and Society and History and the Practice of Diplomacy. Ferenc is an active member of the Hungarian and Romanian diaspora communities and is fluent in both languages. His academic interests are Central Europe, diaspora communities, European security, diplomacy and the influence of science and technology on future society and policy. Ferenc is a research assistant for Wolfgang Danspeckgruber and a student project coordinator of the European Security Architecture project. Ferenc interned at the Permanent Mission of Romania to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe in Vienna. Ferenc participated in an ethnographic research tour to villages in Hungary and Romania organized by the Hungarian Scout Folk Ensemble of Cleveland.
