Bio/Description
Originally from London and Toronto, Leighton Symons is a junior in the History Department. Her academic interests are colonialism’s impact on modern state-building, indigenous issues and Canada’s role on the global stage. In the summer of 2022, Leighton studied microeconomics and political economy at the London School of Economics. For the 2023 summer, she worked for two nonprofit organizations in Kenya focused on expanding educational access, both for grade school educational resources locally and admission to postsecondary institutions in the United States. On campus, Leighton is a member of the Princeton Nonprofit Consulting club, the Undergraduate Student Life Committee, and Women’s Club Soccer.
